LONG ISLAND, NY – A World of Pink -- a leading health facility on Long Island founded by Christine Guarino which is dedicated to meeting the needs of all women in all phases of breast aftercare – hosted its Grand Opening of their new location and the First After Care Facility of its kind on Friday, January 11th 2019 at 6:00-8:30 at Happy Times Cafe in Melville, NY. Special guests include American Football Linebacker, Victor Ochi.
Over 232,000 new cases of invasive breast cancer were diagnosed in 2014. In the wake of this epidemic, women who have had a mastectomy or lumpectomy are left feeling unbalanced and insecure, and many are not aware of their aftercare options. Through the use of breast prostheses and proper bra fittings, Christine Guarino and her team of certified fitters provide women who are facing breast reconstruction or removal due to breast cancer with profound and deserved confidence. A World of Pink provides women with the opportunity to regain their confidence, breast symmetry, and positive body image through private fittings with our certified fitters in our state-of-the-art, one of a kind, classy boutique.
Christine Guarino stated from her A World of Pink health facility in Long Island, NY, "I founded A World of Pink with the dream of changing breast aftercare forever. I've made it my mission in life to help women everywhere feel beautiful, balanced, and confident again following all types of breast surgery. Coming from a family of healthcare professionals as well as myself having a background in dental hygiene, there is no doubt I love to see everyone smile. There are so many women in the United States that suffer from breast cancer. Over time, I developed a strong interest in helping these women, and it became my dream to create a place survivors can go for the 'after.' Research has made so many advancements and has changed the face of healthcare as well as the way women survive. Over the years that I have dedicated to prostheses and specialty bras, the women have taught me about what they need and how just like bodies, needs change over time. Often women are left feeling hopeless and have a lack of motivation to continue in their everyday lives. Although I am not a breast cancer survivor, I am a woman that is empowered and inspired to help women see that beauty comes from within and with one visit to A World of Pink, the 'after' can be healed. Inspired by my friends, family, and desire to help all women, I am proud to have founded World of Pink Foundation, Inc., in search of a world of beauty, balance, and healing hearts regardless of whether women can afford it."
For women who have had breast cancer surgery, medical insurance may cover part, if not all, the cost of prostheses and pocketed bras. World of Pink is not only a Medicare provider but they also work with many private insurance companies and their educated staff handles all insurance verifications. In addition to prosthesis and specially designed bras A World of Pink is also certified in Lymphedema Fittings. This area is all too often overlooked but at A World of Pink we are determined to be a one stop shop for all your Aftercare needs which also includes a top of the line lotion brand recently added to our every growing inventory.
**The Grand Opening consisted of their Official Ribbon Cutting with The Melville Chamber of Commerce, followed by a guided tour of our facility. Entertainment, refreshments, and food was served at Happy Times, 50’s Style Cafe.

The very talented and artistic dynamic duo also ran Andrew Scott Events and Floral Boutique in New Hyde Park from 2013 to 2017.
Guests enjoyed from 6:30pm -6:45pm Welcome and Opening Remarks, 6:45pm-7:00pm Ribbon Cutting Ceremony which was followed by a cocktail reception
Champagne and Hors D'oeurvres provided by King Bar and Red Salt Room by Celebrity Chef David Burke who has now taken residence at the Garden City Hotel.

Ever since Andrew was a child he has always sought to satisfy those around him. Then one night he had a dream of Andrew Scott Events. It is with great emotion and pride that he share this dream with everyone.
From 1990 to 2010 he has had the pleasure of working at the Woodbury Country Club, starting there as a waiter and leaving as the General Manager and worked every position in between. In the twenty years there he has seen, worked and planned over 6,000 Weddings, 10,000 corprate events and 2,500 Bar/Bat Mitzvah's, not to mention the Sweet Sixteens and other social events.
He was the creative force behind W Events and the Designer of LIQUID
Only being able to provide his talent and work to a small audience was not enough for him, thats when he sought to satisfy the public, and so now he is is proud to introduce all to the Arrangement Bar.
His mission is to deliver each client an Event beyond their dreams.
