Hamptons Fashion Week ramped up with the iconic Runway on Jobs

Lane Pop-Up Sip + Shop. Local luxury boutiques joined in on the fabulous

fun as attendees utilized their Hamptons Fashion Week® interactive

shopping passport to scope out the Southampton fashion scene.

Opening day Followed an afternoon of Southampton shopping.

Hamptons Fashion Week kicked off its launch party at the Southampton

Cultural Center accompanied by art exhibitions curated by ARTACOM.

Guests indulged in cocktails and lite bites while previewing couture

collections by our fabulous Hamptons Fashion Week® designers.

On SATURDAY Hamptons Fashion Week showed the collections in a traditional runway show.

The main event is a full day of frontal runway shows at the Southampton Inn

12:00 pm- 2:00 pm: Mix & Mingle with bites from Ruta Oaxaca, Backyard

Barbeque, and Liege & Company Waffle along with signature drinks by

GORGIE, The Pale Rosé, and Smartwater x Simply Mixology. Fashionistas enjoyed

samples from beauty and lifestyle brands including Mindset Wellness, DRC

Ventures, Scott's Protein Balls, and Meta Burnett.

Show time started around 3:00 pm This year’s Hamptons Fashion Week also held a Fashion

Icon Awards ceremony to celebrate prominent figures in today’s era of

fashion including Christina Rahm for her efforts towards sustainable and

eco-conscious practices, Edvin Thompson for his ability to transcend above

industry norms with unique wearable biographies, and Michelle Ochs for

embarking on an exciting new chapter as the new Creative Director of Hervé

Léger.

After the Award ceremony Hervé Léger, Theophilo, and Merci Dupre Clothiers

closed out Hamptons Fashion Week. Complimentary SWAG bags

will be distributed by Hamptons Fashion Week® staff upon leaving.

REGINA KRAVITZ

Fashion designer, Regina Kravitz, is a self-made entrepreneur who started her own nationally distributed brand in the late 1970’s.

With her own minimal investment, she grew her company into a multimillion-dollar business, which she later sold. Regina is credited with commercializing and popularizing the jumpsuit, now an omnipresent, multimillion-dollar wardrobe staple.

Though she graduated from NYU as an English and Theater major, Regina comes from a long line of relatives in the apparel world. Awards were presented to Designer Nicole Miller for Designer of the Year Award, Designer Constance White Fashion Media Award, Designer Cesar Galindo, Trendsetter of the Year Award and Gloria Lee Rising Star Award.

Festivities included celebrity designers, local Southampton Pop-Up Tastings, Museum Installations including other local luxury brands plus TV and Internet celebrity line-ups!

I was able to cover the event on Saturday August 6th and interviewed Sponsors Real Estate Mogel Shawn Elliott from ShawnElliott.com and Nestseekers.com, Co-founder Julie Ratner from The Ellen Hermanson Foundation and Fashion Designer Gloria Lee.
