Zang Toi Fall 2024 Ready-to-Wear was a Personal Homage. Toi’s collection paid respect to his late brother by taking inspiration from his favorite part of Paris.

At New York Fashion Week, Zang Toi introduced his latest Fall/Winter collection, displaying inspiration from the fascination of the Chinese zodiac’s Year of the Dragon. The NYFW event took place in a converted church on the Upper East Side..

The collection started with organ piano and Parisian music, setting a Parisian influence for his NYFW show. Toi’s signature use of bold colors was prominent throughout with vivid hues of pink, fuchsia, and red dominating the collection. Prominent pieces included deconstructed coats, fur jackets, and form-fitting leather ensembles, all tailored to present amazing detail in every garment.

My favorite in the collection was a backless gown adorned with a rose formation down the back of the gown, presenting admiration from the audience for its elegance and innovation. Toi’s choice of vibrant hues reflected a departure from the more somber tones of previous seasons, signaling a shift towards bolder, more expressive fashion choices.

FASHION DESIGNER ANTHONY RUBIO SHOWS HIS PET COUTURE AND GOWNS AT NYFW FEBRUARY 11, 2024

NYFW Fashionistas enjoyed a fabulous collection of eveningwear and pet couture presented by Designer Anthony Rubio at 
Art Heart Fashion at the Angel Orensanz Foundation on the lower East Side.

Canine models wagged their tails down the runway for Anthony Rubio’s Fall/Winter 2024 Canine Couture women’s wear collection in a show where “humans are the accessories,” expressed Designer Anthony Rubio.


Canines from all walks of life, including shelters and rescue groups from places such as Quebec, Los Angeles and San Antonio. The brand was also represented by social media dog influencers, like Bastian the Talking Terrier.

During our interview after the show Designer Anthony Rubio expressed The inspiration is “Everything is coming up roses.”

“We are living in dark times with wars breaking out, political feuds happening left and right, crime up, climate change causing devastation and we need an infusion of positivity,“Our four-legged family members bring love and joy, so I decided to have them bring about the message that it is time to stop and smell the roses.”

Rubio's designs included lace dresses featuring rose embroidery including rose chiffon rose petals and sequins to “bring on the glitter and glam," the hues of red, black and gold to allow the Canine fashion to pop," he explained.

Another fabulous treat was Designer Anthony Rubio introducing the Anthony Rubio Barkin Bag, as a hat worn by his own chihuahua Kimba, complete with a matching retro trapeze coat.

Rubio said the inspiration for the pup’s look came from a famous photo of model Linda Evangelista wearing a handbag on her head, and orders for that bag design are now “piling up.”

One-third of all proceeds go to animal rescue, advocacy of pet adoption, as well as pet population control.

Anthony Rubio grew up in Latin culture at a time of rebellion and expression in fashion, which inspired his colorful vision and helped him evolve into an in-demand designer.

Before Rubio got into the world of pet fashion and earned the esteemed title of “master pet couturier,” he studied women’s wear design at the Fashion Institute of Technology (FIT) in New York.

David Tupaz showed his fabulous collection on The evening of February 9th, 2024, at New York Fashion Week. The designer focused his latest collection to the dedication of classic glamour and meticulous attention to detail.

David Tupaz, a designer celebrated for his commitment to luxury and elegance, unveiled a collection that paid homage to the golden era of fashion while seamlessly incorporating contemporary sensibilities.

 

His designs were a masterclass in tailoring and craftsmanship, with each piece exuding a sense of refined opulence. The runway became a testament to Tupaz’s ability to transcend time with fashion, presenting garments that were both nostalgic and forward-looking. 

The collection’s palette was a sophisticated mix of neutrals and rich tones, carefully chosen to enhance the luxurious fabrics and textures. From sumptuous velvets to delicate silks, each material was selected for its ability to convey depth and richness. Sal Media’s photographs captured the play of light on these textures, showcasing the depth and dimensionality that Tupaz brought to his designs.

WILLFREDO GERADO NYFW 2024 Collection premiered at Art Fashion Week in February.  The emphasis of inspiration included bold designs and animal printssignficantly Zebra and Leopard!

First making his mark at Premio Lo Nuestro Awards dressing his very first Latin celebrity icon Ninel Conde that gained him confidence and international recognition in the fashion world. Now he’s more mature and comfortable expanding into his 4th collection that he will be debuting this upcoming NYFW Fall/Winter 2016. 

 

Born and raised in North Hollywood, CA, early into his young age Willfredo was always interested and involved with fashion. Style and presentation was a main component of his upbringing that filtered into his career. After attending several performing arts schools in Southern California and Sarasota Opera House, he started to migrate from performing arts and immerse himself into fashion. He moved to New York where he worked in retail and stumbled into designing bridal gowns for high-end clients, and embraced his love for designing couture. 

 

He opened his first showroom in Los Angeles, CA and created his first collection named Old Hollywood Glamour, constructed to compliment the silhouette and the lines of a woman’s body, a running theme of all the gowns he designs. After months of work and persistence his dresses had caught wind of international celebrities such as Marjorie De Sousa, Chiquis Rivera and were featured in such publications as Elle Bulgaria, Runway Magazine featuring Nancy O’Dell, and People en Español. 

Since then he has gained status as head designer for Nuestra Belleza Latina 2015 & 2016 and seen his looks all across red carpet events such as the Golden Globes, Emmys, People’s Choice Awards, Latin Grammys, Latin Billboards, & Premio Juventud. With Chicago, Miami, and LA Fashion week under his belt, Gerardo is prepared for New York.

Willfredo now resides in Miami, FL currently expanding his couture line. Ninel Conde, Chiquinquirá Delgado, Alejandra Espinoza, and Daphnie Joy are known to be a few of Gerardo’s star studded client list
